Accessible Fishing & Boating Improvements
Dane County Parks is partnering with the Foundation for Dane County Parks, Madison Fishing Expo, Wisconsin Fishing Expo, and Access Ability Wisconsin to develop system-wide improvements at county lake access sites. Improvements will create and enhance access to fishing and boating opportunities for all ages and abilities.
In 2019, Dane County approved $100,000 in matching funds for this effort, if you are interested in partnering or donating, tax-deductible contribution can be made to: Foundation for Dane County Parks Endowment Fund.
Several sites have already been identified for accessible improvement projects:
- Babcock County Park
- Proposed Improvements (PDF)
- Crystal Lake Wildlife Area
- Fish Camp County Park
- Lussier County Park
- Mendota County Park
- Salmo Pond
- Tenney Lock Breakwater
