Prairie Planting at Capital Springs Recreation Area

Event Description

Volunteers are needed to help plant 800 prairie seedlings next to the Lussier Family Heritage Center. This project is led by members of Madison Area Master Gardeners Association (MAMGA) working with Dane County Parks staff. Free parking, water, and restrooms are located onsite. Drop by for an hour or longer. Volunteers should wear sun hats, sunglasses, work shoes, and long-sleeved shirts and pants appropriate for the weather. Bring work gloves, knee pads and small digging tools (trowel, small shovel, garden knife) if you have them. Tools, mosquito repellant and instructions will be available.
