Rob's Sugar River Ramble

This is the 10th Anniversary of Rob's Sugar River Ramble! Connect with the Upper Sugar River Watershed by land and water as you cycle or hike through the beautiful watershed beginning at Seven Acre Dairy in Paoli, WI and ending at the Sugar River Wildlife Area Davidson Unit, then paddle the sparkling Sugar River until you return to your starting point at Seven Acre Dairy. After the event join your fellow participants on Seven Acre Dairy's back lawn, located right on the Sugar River, for a locally-sourced picnic, a raffle, booths demonstrating our Community Science programs, and live music from 11 am – 2 pm. New this year, we have options to attend just the picnic at Seven Acre Dairy! The picnic option allows friends and family to join you after your paddle for lunch, live music, the raffle, exploring the Community Science Booths, and a fun day in downtown Paoli. It's also a great way for those who wish to support Upper Sugar, but aren't interested in the athletic activities, to attend and enjoy the event too. This will be an event to remember! Fun Activities During The Event: • The beautiful bike routes (15 or 25 miles) follow the Sugar River as it winds through the Driftless Area of Wisconsin. • The gentle hiking route (3.5 miles) follows the Sugar River through the Falk Wells Wildlife Area. • Paddle the scenic Sugar River from the Sugar River Wildlife Area Davidson Unit to Seven Acre Dairy in Paoli. (4.5 miles) • Have a family friendly picnic provided by Seven Acre Dairy (with vegetarian options) along the edge of the Sugar River and enjoy watching the paddlers finishing their paddle. Vegetarian options are available. • A lively raffle will be held with exciting prizes from area businesses. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Upper Sugar River Watershed Association. • Booths demonstrating Upper Sugar's Community Science Programs will be staffed by knowledgeable staff and volunteers for you to explore. • Live music by local band Last Minute Notice will be free for all to enjoy as you picnic, enjoy exploring our booths, and enjoy the day alongside the sparkling Sugar River.
