Restoration Workday at Donald County Park
- Saturday, 02/17/2024 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This winter we have been eradicating invasive brush with hand tools in an oak savanna restoration area so that native plants can flourish. We work in teams, and no experience is necessary, just a love for the natural world and a desire to help out. If you can join us, please RSVP to the work-party leader, Liz McBride, at email@example.com by the Friday before the workday so we have enough tools on hand and she can contact you if we need to cancel. Meeting location: Farmstead area, from Hwy 92 take Sutter Drive south. Drive past the "no park access" signs and park in the circular drive near the barn. Please note this is NOT the main park entrance. Wear old clothes, sturdy shoes and garden or leather gloves if you have them, We have some to lend out. Bring water, tools and snacks provided at breaktime.
