Springfield Hill Natural Resource Area

The 198-acre Springfield Hill Natural Resource Area is located in the Town of Roxbury near State Highway 12. Natural Resource Areas are lands designated for the protection of a valuable natural environment, wildlife habitat, open space, and/or greenbelt corridor. The property consists of steep wooded valleys, glacial kettle ponds and open meadow area. It also includes a section of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail which provides outstanding views from atop Springfield Hill, one of the highest points in the area.
