Safely view the sun's surface with a telescope using safe solar filters. Observe sun spots and solar prominences through safe solar filters and low to moderate magnification eyepieces.
Join astronomy enthusiast Bob Terrell as he demonstrates the superior viewing capabilities of a hydrogen-alpha filter, which removes all but a very tiny part of the red light from the solar spectrum.
This is a free environmental education event open to the public. Families welcome.

Park in the gravel driveway on your left as you enter the main entrance. Telescopes will be set up near the large Bur Oak tree by the parking lot.
