Presentations in the Park - Wisconsin Wildlife Rehabilitation: Caring for Sick and Injured Animals

The Lussier Family Heritage Center will be hosting a variety of speakers throughout the summer, this week's presentation is curtesy of Jackie Sandberg from the Dane County Humane Society's Wildlife Center.  

Gates open at 5:30 PM and the presentation starts at 6:00 PM.  Please bring your own chairs or blankets and set up 6 ft. from other attendees.  Arrive early to get drinks from Delta Beer Lab.

**Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash and not disruptive. 

Jackie Sandberg is the Wildlife Training Supervisor at Dane County Humane Society’s Wildlife Center (DCHS), helping to manage a program that treats over 4,000 sick, injured or orphaned wild animals each year. Daily tasks include triaging phone calls from the public, performing physical exams and medical diagnostics for incoming patients, and training interns, apprentices, and volunteers. She is a certified wildlife rehabilitator who holds a master’s degree in conservation biology and sustainable development (UW-Madison) in addition to advanced state and federal wildlife rehabilitation licenses.
