National Public Lands Day Stewardship Event at Capital Springs Recreation Area

Event Description
Signup with Clare today at carlson.clare@countyofdane.com – event is limited to 50 volunteers. Groups welcome!
Stewardship leaders from the Friends of Capital Springs Recreation Area and the Lussier Family Heritage Center will guide volunteers in a variety of woodland improvement tasks, including invasive species removal and possibly native tree/shrub planting. No land management skills are necessary, and teens (13 and older) are welcome with parental supervision.
Please wear long sleeves and bring drinking water. All tools will be provided, including gloves.
We will work in a wooded area along the Capital City State Trail in the Lewis Nine Springs E-Way.

Meet at the Capital City State Trail/Lower Yahara River Trail Trailhead parking lot at 3102 Lake Farm Road, Madison, WI, right across from the Lussier Family Heritage Center
